About Position

Deevita is looking for a Sr Software Engineer with experience in building API Services using Node.js and PostgreSQL to join our development team. The ideal candidate will have strong backend development experience in Cloud Servies, expertise in JavaScript, NodeJS and familiarity with modern frameworks and databases. You will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining scalable server-side applications, APIs, and services for a Startup product team based in USA. Roles & Responsibilities:

♦ Develop and maintain server-side applications using Node.js, Express.js, Typescript and other relevant frameworks.

♦ Design and implement RESTful APIs and GraphQL APIs (Neo4j) for web applications.

♦ Collaborate with front-end developers, designers, and other stakeholders to integrate user-facing elements with server-side logic.

♦ Write efficient, reusable, and scalable code, following best coding practices.

♦ Implement security and data protection measures in applications.

♦ Optimize applications for maximum performance and scalability.

♦ Work with databases like PostgreSQL for data storage and retrieval in SaaS products

♦ Experience in cloud-based deployments preferably using DigitalOcean Perform unit testing, integration testing, and debugging to ensure reliability and robustness.

♦ Participate in Agile development methodologies (Scrum, Kanban).

Required Qualifications:

♦ 5-9 years experience with Node.js, Express.js, cloud platforms (Digital Ocean, AWS, Google Cloud, or Azure).

♦ Must have at least 4+ years of experience in building NodeJS based RESTful API’S

♦ Must have at least 3+ years of experience in building applications using PostgreSQL and/or equivalent

♦ Master’s or bachelor’s degree in computer science or engineering fields. (BE/B.Tech/ M.E / M.Tech, MCA)

♦ Experience in designing highly scalable APIs on the cloud and familiarity with Microservices Architecture and API Gateway concepts.

♦ Hands-on experience with Docker, Kubernetes, and CI/CD pipelines.

♦ Experience with version control systems like Git and GitHub/GitLab.

♦ Must have excellent communication skills (English) to interface with US clients directly and verify in proficiency in all types of communication modes

Preferred Qualifications:

♦ Knowledge in integrating with ServiceNow will be an added advantage

♦ Experience in ReactJS in building UI component

♦ Experience is Digital Ocean cloud platform is a big plus
