Sr Database Engineer

Job Description

Deevita is looking for an experienced Database Engineer (Azure SQL Database, PostgreSQL, MySQL) to join our core product development team to build & develop our Saas platform for Life Sciences (Pharma) to help drive business growth , convenience  for customers in managing their medications. You will be part of a team of engineers to deliver data solutions using Microsoft Azure, Azure SQL Database. 

Roles & Responsibilities:

• Analyze customer requirements working with client teams , design and propose best design architecture for the solution
• Design sounds database system using RDMBS principles that provides a scalable and maintainable backend layer running on Microsoft Azure cloud environment.
• Develop high performance database development (Stored procedures, functions, views) that implements business functionality layer for use by REST API interface
• Integrate data from various sources building ETL pipelines using Azure Logic Apps, and Azure Data Factory building enterprise scale data pipelines. 
• Collaborate with the IT team to ensure best practices for database security, data privacy, and compliance.
• Develop the logical and physical structure of databases based on project requirements, including tables, views, indexes, and relationships.
• Work closely with the engineering team to design and implement solutions and meet delivery, quality, and performance 

Required Qualifications:

• 4-7 years of experience in designing and developing enterprise-grade data platform solutions involving SQL Server, Azure SQL Database and / or Postgresql, Mysql
• Masters or Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or Engineering fields. (BE/B.Tech/ M.E / M.Tech, MCA) 
• Must have at least 3 years of software development experience in SQL Server/ Azure SQL Database. 
• Must be strong in RDBMS concepts, have built core transactional product developments in database layer
• Must have at least one Microsoft Certification in data related technology
• Good to have 1+ year of experience in building applications using Power Platform (Power Automate, Power Apps). 
• Must be hands-on, deeply technical and exposure to latest features within SQL Server, able to do both coding and guide group of junior/mid-level database engineers 
• Must have excellent communication skills (English) to interface with US clients directly and verify in proficiency in all types of communication modes – Listening, Reading, Writing and Speaking  
• Must have strong experience in Performance Tuning / Optimization Initiatives

Preferred Qualifications:

• Healthcare, Pharma/Life science industry experience will be an added advantage
• Azure Development using ADF, Data pipelines, Power BI, Power Platform
