Mechanical Design Engineer

We are seeking a skilled and innovative Mechanical Design Engineer to join our dynamic ngineering team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and improving mechanical systems and components for a wide range of applications. The Mechanical Design Engineer will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to ensure the successful development of high-quality, reliable products.

Key Responsibilities:

• Mechanical Design & Development: Design and develop mechanical components, systems, and assemblies using CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD).
• Jigs, Fixtures, and Mould Design: Design and develop jigs, fixtures, and mould to support manufacturing processes, ensuring that they meet product specifications and improve production efficiency. Work closely with manufacturing teams to optimize the design for ease of assembly, cost-effectiveness, and high precision.
• Collaboration & Coordination: Work closely with software engineers, and manufacturing teams to integrate mechanical systems with other technical disciplines.
• Documentation & Reporting: Prepare and maintain design documentation, including drawings, specifications, and product manuals. Ensure that designs comply with industry standards and company guidelines.
• Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities for design improvements, cost reductions, and process optimization. Implement best practices for mechanical design and engineering processes.
• Manufacturing Support: Collaborate with manufacturing teams to ensure designs are feasible for production. Review and resolve any issues that arise during manufacturing or assembly.
• Product Lifecycle Management: Support products throughout their lifecycle, from initial design through to production and post-production enhancements.

Skills & Experience:

• Diploma or Bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
• Minimum 2 years of experience in mechanical design engineering, with a proven track record in designing mechanical systems and components.
• Proficiency in CAD software (SolidWorks, AutoCAD).
• Strong understanding of materials, manufacturing processes, and assembly techniques.
• Experience in creating 3D models, assembly drawings, and detailed schematics.
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to think critically and analytically.
• Familiarity with design standards and safety regulations (e.g., ASME, ISO).
• Excellent communication skills to collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.

Working Conditions:

• Full-time position.
• Office-based, with potential for occasional fieldwork or travel to manufacturing facilities.
