Mechanical Design Engineer

Job Description:

We are seeking a talented and motivated Mechanical Design Engineer to join our dynamic team. As a key member of our engineering department, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and testing mechanical components and systems. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure product quality, performance, and cost-effectiveness.

Responsibilities:

Design and Development:

Create detailed 3D models and 2D engineering drawings using CAD software (e.g., Fusion 360,Catia,Autodesk, AutoCAD, etc)

Conduct feasibility studies and perform engineering calculations to evaluate design concepts

Develop design concepts and prototypes to meet specific functional and aesthetic requirements

Optimize designs for manufacturability, assembly, and cost-effectiveness

Analysis and Testing:

Perform structural, thermal, and fluid flow analysis to validate designs

Conduct rigorous testing and validation of prototypes and final products

Analyze test data to identify areas for improvement and optimize designs

Collaboration:

Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including electrical engineers, manufacturing engineers, and project managers

Communicate effectively with stakeholders, including clients, suppliers, and internal team members

Participate in design reviews and provide technical expertise to ensure project success

Problem-Solving:

Identify and troubleshoot design issues and implement effective solutions

Stay up-to-date with industry trends and emerging technologies to drive innovation

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field

2+ years of experience in mechanical design and development

Proficiency in CAD software (Fusion 360,Catia,Autodesk, AutoCAD, etc.)

Strong understanding of engineering principles, including mechanics, thermodynamics, and materials science

Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills

Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Strong communication and interpersonal skills

Preferred Qualifications:

Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering

Experience with FEA and CFD analysis tools

Knowledge of manufacturing processes, including machining, casting, and injection molding

Experience with design for manufacturing (DFM) and design for assembly (DFA) principles
