Exim Manager

Job Summary:

We are looking for an experienced EXIM Manager to oversee and manage all export and import operations. The EXIM Manager will be responsible for ensuring seamless international shipments, maintaining compliance with both domestic and international regulations, optimizing supply chain logistics, and handling customs clearance. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in global trade management and will play a key role in managing relationships with vendors, customs, and logistics partners.

Key Responsibilities:

• Export-Import Documentation: Ensure accurate and timely preparation of all required documentation for export and import, including shipping bills, commercial invoices, packing lists, certificates of origin, and bills of lading.
• Customs & Regulatory Compliance: Ensure full compliance with local and international trade regulations, customs requirements, and company policies. Monitor tariff changes, government policies, and trade restrictions to minimize risks.
• Import/Export Licenses & Schemes: Manage import and export licenses, including Advance Licenses and Export Promotion Capital Goods (EPCG) schemes. Ensure full utilization of government incentives such as RoDTEP (Remission of Duties and Taxes on Export Products) to maximize benefits.
• High Seas Sales: Oversee high seas sales transactions, ensuring compliance with regulations and smooth execution of contracts.
• Logistics & Shipment Management: Coordinate international and domestic logistics, manage shipping schedules, and track shipments to ensure timely delivery of goods. Optimize freight costs by negotiating contracts with shipping lines and transport partners.
• Vendor & Supplier Management: Establish and maintain strong relationships with key vendors, suppliers, and international customers. Negotiate favorable terms and pricing for transportation and logistics services.
• Customs Clearance & Liaison: Oversee the customs clearance process and maintain communication with customs authorities and freight forwarders to ensure timely release and delivery of goods.
• Duty & Tax Management: Monitor and manage duties, taxes, and tariffs imposed on goods.
• Implement cost-saving strategies to reduce duty and tax liabilities where applicable.
• Proficiency in Export-Import Documentation: Handle documentation related to Letters of Credit (LC) and ensures proper application of Incoterms in all international trade transactions.
• Risk Management: Proactively manage risks related to international shipping, such as regulatory changes, delays, damages, or penalties. Ensure adequate insurance coverage for all shipments.
• Team Leadership: Lead and mentor a team of export-import professionals, ensuring optimal performance in areas of documentation, compliance, and logistics management.
• Process Optimization: Identify opportunities to streamline export-import processes, improve supply chain efficiency, and reduce operational costs.

Key Requirements:

• Bachelors degree in International Trade, Supply Chain Management, Logistics, or a related field.
• 10+ years of experience in export-import operations within a manufacturing and trading environment.
• Comprehensive knowledge of customs regulations, international trade laws, and compliance requirements for both export and import.
• Proven track record in managing logistics operations, including working with freight forwarders, customs brokers, and shipping lines.
• Strong experience in vendor and supplier management, with excellent negotiation skills.
• Proficiency in handling export-import documentation, including Letters of Credit (LC) and Inco terms.
• Hands-on experience with ERP systems and trade management software.
• Excellent problem-solving, organizational, and leadership skills.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to coordinate with multiple internal and external stakeholders.
