Senior Associate, Specialist, Credit Approval, Risk Management Group

Business Function

Risk Management Group works closely with our business partners to manage the banks risk exposure by balancing its objective to maximise returns against an acceptable risk profile. We partner with origination teams to provide financing, investments and hedging opportunities to our customers. To manage risk effectively and run a successful business, we invest significantly in our people and infrastructure.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate credit applications from corporate and commercial customers based on established risk parameters and guidelines
• Analyze financial statements, business plans and credit reports to assess customers creditworthiness and ability to repay loans
• Conduct due diligence checks and site visits to validate key assumptions in customers credit applications and business plans
• Make well-reasoned credit approval or rejection recommendations to the credit committee based on thorough risk assessments
• Monitor existing customers credit facilities and financial performance, and recommend appropriate actions in case of adverse changes

Requirements

• Bachelors degree in Finance, Accounting, Business or related field
• At least 5-8 years of relevant experience in corporate credit risk analysis or credit underwriting
• Strong analytical and financial modeling skills with proficiency in credit risk assessment methodologies
• Excellent communication and relationship management skills to liaise with customers
• Detail-oriented with strong credit and risk evaluation capabilities
• Able to work independently and as part of a team
