Job Description
Role & responsibilities
- Strong understanding of DB2 database architecture.
- Experience in troubleshooting and resolving database performance issues, blocking, and deadlocking issue, log shipping issues, connectivity issues, security issues.
- Hands on experience in performance tuning, query optimization as per application requirement.
- Experience in monitoring, configuration and DB2 installation on Linux operating system.
- Resolve any database issues in accurate and timely fashion.
- Monitor database regularly to check for any errors such as existing locks and failed updates, backup failures.
- Experience in db2 installations fixpack update version migration and upgrades
- Experience in creation of instance and databases tablespaces and capacity planning
- Experience in all db2 maintenance and movement utilities Experience in db2 backup, restore strategies and import and load.
- Experience in database Monitoring performance tuning and troubleshooting
- Experience in TSA cluster configuration HADR configuration and their support
- Experience in Creating indexes and analyzing which indexes to create based on requirement
- Good knowledge of UNIX and Windows platform
- Ability to proactively identify troubleshoot and resolve live database systems issues
- Should work in all shifts provide on call support production environment
