Position: Data Migration Specialist

Experience: 3 to 6 years

Job Type: Full-Time, Permanent

Preferred Qualifications:

- Hands-on experience with cloud-based platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.

- Familiarity with ERP/CRM systems and data migration processes.

- Knowledge of data governance and compliance standards (GDPR, HIPAA).

Key Responsibilities:

Data Analysis and Mapping:

- Analyze and evaluate data structures in source and target systems to ensure compatibility.

- Develop and document data mapping strategies that align source data fields with target system requirements.

- Utilize Excel for managing and analyzing large datasets, performing advanced data cleansing, transformation, and reporting.

Planning and Execution:

- Design and implement migration plans, including data extraction, transformation, and loading processes.

- Conduct test migrations to validate accuracy and refine processes before production.

- Collaborate with internal teams and clients to ensure alignment on migration objectives.

System Integration:

- Apply integration principles to ensure seamless data flow between different systems.

- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to address integration challenges and ensure smooth data transfer.

Communication and Stakeholder Management:

- Schedule and attend meetings with clients and internal stakeholders to discuss project updates, requirements, and milestones.

- Provide prompt responses to client inquiries and concerns, ensuring high levels of satisfaction.

- Keep stakeholders informed about progress, challenges, and resolutions.

Project Management:

- Monitor project timelines and ensure tasks are completed on schedule.

- Communicate any changes, risks, or issues proactively to clients and stakeholders.

- Suggest improvements to enhance the efficiency and accuracy of migration processes.

Validation and Quality Assurance:

- Conduct rigorous testing to ensure migrated data meets quality and compliance standards.

- Collaborate with clients and end-users to validate the usability and accuracy of data in the new system.

Post-Migration Support:

- Monitor post-migration systems for data issues and address them promptly.

- Provide training and support to end-users to ensure a smooth transition.

Qualifications:

- Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.

- Skills: Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills, with a proactive approach to problem-solving.
