Job Description: Data Engineer (DBT & Snowflake Specialist)

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Data Engineer with expertise in DBT (Data Build Tool) and Snowflake to join our team. The ideal candidate should have 7+ years of experience in data engineering, with a strong understanding of ETL/ELT processes and cloud data warehousing. Additional knowledge in SQL, Control-M, and Workday integration is desirable. This role will involve designing, developing, and optimizing data pipelines to ensure seamless data integration and analysis across enterprise systems.

Key Responsibilities:

• DBT Development: Develop, maintain, and optimize DBT models to enable efficient ELT workflows for Snowflake-based data pipelines.
• Snowflake Expertise: Design and manage data warehouse schemas, implement performance tuning strategies, and manage Snowflake's features, including data sharing, cloning, and query optimization.
• ETL/ELT Processes: Design, build, and manage ETL/ELT pipelines to extract, transform, and load data efficiently across multiple systems.
• SQL Development: Write, debug, and optimize complex SQL queries for data transformation and reporting purposes.
• Control-M Scheduling: Leverage Control-M to automate and monitor job scheduling for seamless data pipeline execution.
• Workday Integration: Support Workday data integration workflows, ensuring smooth data exchange between Workday and Snowflake.
• Troubleshooting and Optimization: Diagnose and resolve issues related to data pipelines, DBT models, and Snowflake configurations to maintain optimal performance.
• Collaboration: Work closely with data analysts, business teams, and other stakeholders to understand requirements and deliver robust data solutions.

Qualifications and Skills:

• Mandatory Expertise:
• 7+ years of experience in data engineering or ETL development.
• Proficiency in DBT and Snowflake, with hands-on experience in designing and managing ELT workflows.
• Strong knowledge of SQL for data manipulation and query optimization.
• Additional Skills:
• Familiarity with Control-M for job scheduling and monitoring.
• Experience with Workday integration workflows is a plus.
• Understanding of cloud data architectures and best practices for ETL/ELT.
• Soft Skills:
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks effectively.
