Database Administrator

You will be managing all the DB environments across Cleartrip for Mysql (CloudSQL), Atlas Mongo, Postgres SQL.  You will be responsible for coordinating with all LOBs like Air, Hotels and Platform to understand the needs and provide best possible solution in terms of reliabiltiy, availability and cost. 

About the Team:

The Infra team is responsible for handling complete infra across the Cleartrip organisation primarily hosted on GCP. The team is responsible for making sure that the infrastructure scales and enables Engineering teams to build and deploy softwares quickly and reliably. 

The team also ensures that we are up to date when it comes to security and certifications and are following indurstry standards for all technologies being used at Cleartrip.

You are responsible for

• Managing all SQL and Mongo Clusters across Cleartrip
• Performance and cost optimisation
• Collaborate with all LOBs
• Migrations and Upgrades and Patch updates
• Following best practices in terms of reliability, availability and security
• Control access
• Observability
• Establish process and policies to make sure databases integrity is maintained
• Ensures that all databases are maintained properly in order to maximize performance of all database applications
• Ensures solutions meet business objectives and establishes and maintains a high level of user trust and confidence

• Strong Problem Solving Skills

• Experience supporting MySQL, PostgreSQL, MongoDB or NoSQL environments
• Manage backup and recovery processes including replication for failover environments disaster recovery
• Monitor Performance and Tuning
• Ensure DB implementation (Standards)
• Test solutions and ensure it meets specifications
• Engineer and maintain database solutions specific to a shared cloud operations environment
• Work with project management resources related to the implementation and sustained configuration management of the database environment
• Own configuration change activities required to deploy and maintain the shared database environment
• Create and maintain documentation to support configuration management of the shared database environment
• Create knowledge base articles that can be used by tier one and tier two support engineers in response to routine incidents around the shared database environment
