Data Scientist - Machine Learning (0-15 yrs)

Job Description :

IQVIA RDS (India) Private Limited is looking for enthusiastic and skilled Data Scientists to join our Bangalore team. This role is open to both freshers and experienced candidates. As a Data Scientist at IQVIA, you will be working on advanced data analytics, visualization, and predictive modeling for driving insights and decision-making within the healthcare and life sciences sectors.

We are specifically seeking candidates with proficiency in Matplotlib, as it will be a core tool for visualizing data in your day-to-day work.

Key Responsibilities :

- Analyze large and complex datasets to extract meaningful insights and patterns.

- Develop predictive models and apply machine learning algorithms to solve business problems.

- Visualize data and analytical results using Matplotlib and other visualization tools to present insights in a clear and impactful manner.

- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including engineers, product managers, and business stakeholders, to translate business problems into data science solutions.

- Continuously improve existing models and develop new ones to meet evolving business needs.

- Use Python, R, and other analytical tools for data manipulation, processing, and analysis.

- Document, present, and communicate findings to both technical and non-technical audiences.

Qualifications :

For Freshers :

- Education : Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Engineering, or related fields.

Technical Skills :

- Proficiency in Matplotlib is mandatory.

- Familiarity with Python and other data visualization libraries such as Seaborn or Plotly.

- Basic understanding of machine learning techniques and statistical analysis.

- Problem-Solving Ability : Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.

- Communication : Ability to explain complex concepts in simple terms.

For Experienced Candidates (1-5 years) :

- Experience : 1-5 years of hands-on experience in data science, machine learning, or related fields.

Technical Skills :

- Strong expertise in Matplotlib for data visualization.

- Proficiency in Python and experience with machine learning frameworks (e.g., Scikit-learn, TensorFlow, etc.).

- Experience in working with data visualization libraries such as Seaborn, Plotly, and Tableau.

- Familiarity with SQL, data manipulation techniques, and ETL processes.

- Project Experience : Proven track record of delivering data-driven insights through visualizations and analytics in real-world projects.

- Advanced Skills : Experience with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure) and Big Data technologies (e.g., Hadoop, Spark) is a plus.

Preferred Skills :

- Domain knowledge in healthcare, life sciences, or pharmaceuticals is highly preferred.

- Experience in presenting and communicating data insights to both technical and non-technical teams.

- Familiarity with tools like Tableau, Power BI, or QlikView is an advantage.
