CBRE - Data Scientist - SQL/Power BI (5-8 yrs)

Job Description :

Key Responsibilities :

- Good Knowledge or exposure of financial and People data is preferred.

- Ability to create proper data models and understand data they may not be initially familiar with.

- Ability to design and develop sophisticated Power BI Reports & Able to apply advanced Power BI DAX functions.

- Understanding the business problem(s) from business stakeholders and converting it to data science/analytical problem(s).

- Be at par with latest advancements in the data science world and applying those new learnings (techniques /algorithms/models) to solve the problems at hand in a more effective and efficient way for better results.

- Ability to articulate insights from the data, ML model explainability to business teams in a clear and concise manner and help them make decisions.

- Developing and Determining data mining techniques specific to the problem statement.

- Create proper documentation for support of deployments.

- Familiarity with synapse and snowflake data warehouses as data sources.

- Familiar with D&T change control standards and requirements.

- Understanding the business problem(s) from business stakeholders and converting it to data science/analytical problem(s).

- Be at par with latest advancements in the data science world and applying those new learnings (techniques /algorithms/models) to solve the problems at hand in a more effective and efficient way for better results.

- Ability to articulate insights from the data, ML model explainability to business teams in a clear and concise manner and help them make decisions.

- Developing and Determining data mining techniques specific to the problem statement.

Qualifications & Required Skills :

- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science or Data Science or Mathematics, Statistics or a related field.

- Experience in Information Technology and database technologies and concepts.

- Knowledge of the Incident Response life cycle, working independently to investigate and effectively respond to incidents.

- Exposure to working within a Procurement/Finance organization.

- Good knowledge of IT principals - security, databases, networks, software development lifecycle etc.

- The candidate will need this knowledge to liaise with in-house/external IT professionals.

- Very good knowledge of MS Office products, particularly Excel and basic querying using SQL.

- Good communication & presentation skills, both written and verbal and be able to communicate effectively with stakeholders from all levels in the organization.

- Expertise in one or more of the following : machine learning (ML), deep learning, natural /language processing, statistical modeling, optimization.

- Should be able to customize any algorithm(s) wherever needed.

- Knowledge of LLMs like GPT, LLM is recommended,

- Scripting/programming experience in one of the following : Python & R etc. is highly desirable (excellence in at least one of these).
