Data Entry Operator

Role Description:

The incumbent will be responsible for the following tasks entering, updating, and maintaining financial data in the companys accounting systems with high accuracy. This role supports the finance and accounting teams by ensuring that all financial transactions are recorded correctly and promptly, enabling accurate financial reporting and analysis.

Key Responsibilities:

• Data Entry: Accurately enter financial data into accounting software and databases, including invoices, receipts, payments, and other financial records.
• Data Verification: Review financial documents for completeness and accuracy before entering data to ensure consistency and avoid errors.
• Record Keeping: Maintain organized files and records of financial transactions, ensuring that documents are easily accessible for audits and reviews.
• Reconciliation: Assist in reconciling accounts by comparing system data with external statements and identifying any discrepancies.
• Reporting: Generate basic financial reports and summaries as required by the finance team.
• Compliance: Ensure that data entry processes comply with internal policies and external regulations related to financial reporting.
• Communication: Liaise with other departments to gather necessary financial data and resolve discrepancies in a timely manner.
• Confidentiality: Handle sensitive financial information with the utmost confidentiality and integrity.
• Support: Provide administrative support to the finance and accounting teams as needed, including filing, scanning documents, and other clerical tasks

Required Skills and Experience:

a. Minimum of 1-3 years of prior experience handling relevant activities in accounting function for corporates in India.

b. Average communication skills.

c. An eye for details

d. Ability to complete data entry tasks with reasonable accuracy and efficiency.effectively .

e. Qualification: Commerce Graduate with relevant experience.
