Engineering III Consultant- Data Engineering

What you'll be doing...

We are looking for a BI Engineer who has experience in developing reports and dashboards on reporting tools such as Qlik sense & Looker

You will be primarily responsible for the following activities but not just limited to these

• Design, develop, and test moderate to complex reports, dashboards and visualizations using a variety of tools, which include Tableau, Qlik Sense, Looker, SQL, Stored Procedures and Functions in Oracle, MySQL and PostgreSQL.
• Translate reporting requirements into reporting models, visualizations and reports by having a strong understanding of the enterprise architecture.

• Prepare documentation for reporting apps and operational processes.
• Contribute to the definition and development of the overall reporting roadmap.

• Understand the Projects lifecycle, take active role in Production deployments and resolve deployment issues
• Understand Functional requirements and develop as per detailed technical specifications
• Establish and maintain cross-functional working relationships with other IT groups (including Production Support, Cloud Admin Team etc.) and key business stakeholders
• Collaborate with various data providers to resolve dashboard, reporting and data related issues.
• Determine methods and procedures on new or existing requirements and functionality with little to no guidance.
• Work closely with analysts and data engineers to identify opportunities and assess improvements of our products and services.
• Perform Data Services reporting benchmarking, enhancements, optimizations, and platform analytics.
• Develop from strategic and non-strategic data sources including data preparation/ETL and modeling for data visualizations in a self-service platform.
• Participate in the research, development, and adoption of trends in reporting and analytics.
• Standardize reporting that helps generate efficiencies, optimization and end user standards.
• Ability to work with multiple stakeholders independently or with minimal supervision.
• Efficient modeling exposure to model the data in the BI layer
• Basic understanding of human centric design
• Should be able to drive a center of excellence for business intelligence
• Should be able to drive teams putting innovation at the top of deliverables
• Should be able to do customizations in Qlik sense
• Good exposure to mash ups, widgets, custom themes, custom connectors, extensions in Qlik sense
• Hands on experience in advanced modeling techniques in business intelligence
• Should be able to establish best practices and standard frameworks for reporting
• Adaptable to work across multiple projects and multiple reporting tools.

In this hybrid role, you'll have a defined work location that includes work from home and assigned office days set by your manager.

What we're looking for...

We are looking for a BI Engineer who has experience in developing reports and dashboards on reporting tools such as Qlik sense & Looker

• Bachelor's degree or four or more years of experience.
• Four or more years of total IT Experience
• Experience in building reports and dashboard
• Hands-on experience in Qlik sense, Looker, Tableau is mandatory
• Hands-on experience in SQL, PL/SQL.
• Experience on driving reporting solutions E2E by guiding team
• Well versed with Agile Development Methodologies
• Excellent written and spoken communication skills

Even better if you have one or more of the following

• Experience on GCP Big Query, Data Transfer Services, GCP Data Proc and Data Flow
• Certification on BI reporting tools preferably Qlik sense or Looker
• Experience in analyzing large amounts of information to discover trends and data
• Experience with Data Quality and Performance Tuning
• Experience with data preparation and modeling in Informatica or any other ETL tool is a plus.
• Experience with public or hybrid cloud environments are a plus.
• Experience with big data technologies like Spark, Scala, Sqoop, Hadoop etc., are a plus
