Data Analyst

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES (but not limited to):

• Interpret data, analyze results using statistical techniques and provide ongoing reports
• Develop and implement databases, data collection systems, data analytics and other strategies that optimize statistical efficiency and quality
• Acquire data from primary or secondary data sources and maintain databases/data systems
• Identify, analyze, and interpret trends or patterns in complex data sets
• Filter and clean data by reviewing computer reports, printouts, and performance indicators to locate and correct code problems
• Work with management to prioritize business and information needs
• Create/develop Business models using BI tools
• Locate and define new process improvement opportunities
• Performs other duties as required
• Look and analyze cost structures (direct vs. indirect), subs vs internal, fixed vs variable.
• Look at gross margins at product level and market level and provide insights for improvements.
• Look at the invoicing process and missed opportunities.
• Other financial metrics for cost, revenue etc per person and analyze profitable clients, product groups e
• Look at cost allocations for indirect costs and allocation model percentages etc.
• Provide advisory for new client and bids.
• Run analysis of financial profitability at bids vs actuals at project completion

EDUCATION & SKILLS REQUIRED:

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance, MBA/ M.Com will be preferred.
• Over all 2 plus years’ experience in MIS or data analyst profile.
• Experienced with Microsoft Office, especially advanced in excel and PowerPoint.
• Experience of Power BI and SQL queries would be an added advantage.
• Well versed in preparing dashboards and visualized data as per business requirement.
• Effective written and verbal communication skills
• Flexible to adapt to new environment and easy to take instructions.
• Ability to build strong relationships, influence and communicate cross-functionally at most levels, demonstrating leadership.
• Must be self-directed, have excellent initiative and organizational skills.
