Job position: Asst. Manager/ Manager - Legal
Qualification: B.L / LLB (Full time)
Experience: Legal exposure of minimum 4 to 10 years in manufacturing companies.
Age limit: 30-40 years
Languages known: English (Must) and regional language (Telugu).
- Competencies: Strong Communication both verbal and written and Presentation skills. Must be highly proficient in drafting legal documents / correspondences.
Location: Sricity, Andhra Pradesh
Reporting to: CS & Legal Head
Managing the Legal Operations encompassing Legal Strategy Planning, Litigation, handling legal notices and correspondences, drafting contracts, well versed in MSME laws, Factory law compliances, Environment and Health compliances, Labour law compliances Civil, Criminal and Commercial laws, claim management including Insurance.
Key areas of Responsibilities:
- Handling functions pertaining to various legal and statutory matters viz. preparation of replies of the notices, attending legal proceedings of the cases such as Civil, Criminal, MSME cases , NCLT etc, co-ordination and preparing brief for lawyers in the matter of civil and criminal suits and drafting legal notices.
- To ensure the compliance to all the applicable laws and timely filing of the returns both online and offline, pertains to Factory viz. labour, industrial and other environment returns.
- Drafting/vetting of legal documents/contracts pertaining to companys various functions.
- Appointing and maintaining sustained contact with legal professionals for initiating and following upon legal
procedures.
- To have reasonable knowledge and exposure in Insurance claims of the Company under Marine and various Project
claims and better management of claims and recovery of money with appropriate liaising with Insurer, internal
departments etc.
- Competent to obtain, renew, modify the appropriate statutory licenses and approvals as required in the Companys
place of business and liaising with such government, municipal authorities and further to file the monthly and
periodical statutory filings.
- Supervising of social security viz. PF, Gratuity and Superannuation as per the Statutory and Company policy and
should take best efforts to provide solutions in case of claim, complaints if any reported by the employees in co-
ordination/appropriate follow up with Government authorities.
- Advising on good governance practices and compliance as prescribed under statutory and further as per HQ
guidelines.
- To be updated with the recent amendments under labour, industrial and other statutory applicable laws and make
the Company in compliance with all the required statutes.
- Conceptualizing strategies on factory compliances, other statutory compliances and creating Standard Operating
Procedures for the Functions.
- To deal with trade unions and to represent the management and to ensure the smooth handing of the issues, if any.
- Interfacing with various internal departments of the Company, Suppliers, Customers to resolve issues and timely
legal action initiation, if any required
- Conducting Statutory Audits in factory and other Company locations.
