- Guide and oversee a dedicated team of draftsmen in the preparation of study drawings for detailed in-house design or outsourcing.
- Support draftsmen in development tasks.
- Coordinate and manage workloads of draftsmen efficiently, ensuring balanced task distribution and timely project execution.
- Develop optimized plant layouts that align with customer requirements and operational efficiency.
- Ensure efficient, cost-effective, and technically sound design of mechanical and thermal components.
- Check fabrication and mechanical drawings prepared by the detail design teams or by outsourcing companies to ensure compliance with project requirements and prevent mistakes.
- Perform strength calculations for materials and pressure loss analysis in gas, air, and flue gas ducts .
- Select appropriate heat-resistant materials for furnace components.
- Select essential furnace components such as fans, pumps, and burners .
- Choose suitable gearboxes, rotary unions, air, and gas control valves .
- Review and validate vendor calculations, including those for orifice plates .
- Prepare Bill of Materials (BOM) for various furnace assemblies.
- Support the Site Supervisors during the installation phase
