Dalton Investments - Associate - Data Management & Client Reporting (3-5 yrs)

Dalton Investments is seeking a data management and client reporting associate to help support the firm's business development and client relationship efforts. This position is focused on providing client reporting to Dalton's institutional client base. This position will be in Mumbai and role requires working from 1:30 pm - 10:30 pm IST (on a hybrid basis as needed) potentially to collaborate with US-based colleagues for production.

Primary Responsibilities:

- Utilize Dalton's systems, including FactSet, Bloomberg and Geneva, to generate portfolio level data analysis

- Develop specialized reports to meet the requests of both existing Dalton clients and potential prospects

- Interact with accounting team to assist with client reporting requests utilizing Geneva accounting system

- Prepare monthly and quarterly client reports

- Update third-party databases (eVestment, Morningstar, Mercer, etc.) with Dalton products and strategy information (i.e. Performance, attribution, risk, characteristics, etc.).

- Work closely with the senior marketing and client relations staff to understand client and prospect data requests

- Help provide portfolio level data to the marketing team to populate client and marketing presentations

- Support the DDQ and ODD completion process by sourcing historical firm and strategy level data

Other Wider Support Activities:

- Proactively engage with the various members across the firm and provide support where necessary

- Must be able to independently troubleshoot data issues to ensure high quality report production.

Qualifications:

- 3-5 years of prior asset management client reporting experience, ideally working in an institutional team with institutional client exposure.

- Bachelor/ Post Graduate required; an MBA is a plus

- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office, with advanced Excel skills preferred. Familiarity with features such as pivot tables, advanced formulas, and data analysis tools is a plus.

- Experience with systems such as FactSet, Bloomberg, Geneva, and eVestment a plus
