Key Purpose of the Job

• The position is responsible for ensuring Logistics safety across DCBL. LSC is primarily responsible for the development and implementation of Logistics safety policies and procedures including the H&S rules. The position will report to the National Safety Head and provide tools and support to the Plant logistic safety. The position will also require traveling from the plant to the warehouses and other frequented routes as and when required for surveys and JRMs.

Key Responsibilities

• Facilitate and implement H&S strategy in Plant Logistics.
• Coordinate H&S audits and inspections in Plant Logistics.
• Conduct/ Coordinate V&TS related training programs in Plant Logistics.
• Network with other Plants and share best safety practices.
• Plant Logistics safety data analysis and reporting.

Job Role

• Implementation of Indian Road Safety Program (IRSP) - Transporter engagement, Driver engagement, Community engagement, Key risk program, IVMS, Seat Belts, etc.
• Implementation of R&R for driver and transporter engagement, basic amenities at plant, and DDT training.
• Learn and sharing of V&TS related best practices.
• Safety Data Analysis - Monitoring and analysis of GPS safety reports.
• Drive specific waves to improve V&TS KPIs.
• Coordinate in conducting V&TS HIRA, JRM.
• Study & Ensure existing SOP's (of high risk activities in V&TS) for completeness.
• Incident investigation and sharing of Alerts.
• Study & propose improvements over existing tools, tackles, the way activities/process are done.
