Job description

Roles and Responsibilities:

1. Ensuring a well-governed and diligent contracting process from start to finish.

2. Vetting & review of contracts, disputes claim handing, evaluating merit and risk mitigation.

3. Understanding of court process, reviewing the plaints, defence submission and filling of applications.

4. Briefing counsel, legal research on the laws related to the matter and case studies.

5. Handing of matters with respect to road, rail, transportation. General understanding of land disputes, land acquisition, compensation etc.

6. Closely Ensure efficient and effective management of legal cases.

7. Identify key legal risks and opportunities associated with the business activities.

8. Work closely with the various business teams within entity

9. To provide timely and appropriate advice in connection with the commercial transactions, operation teams and strategy developments.

10. To assist with minimising disputes and claims in a cost effective and a flexible manner.

11. Keen to understand the maritime laws, disputes related to charter parties, contamination of cargo and arbitration under English law.
