Senior Accountant - Taxation

Role & responsibilities

• Manage end-to-end TDS processes and ensure timely deduction and remittance across all group companies.
• Oversee GST compliance, including timely E-invoicing, filing of returns, B2B reconciliation, and resolving any related issues.
• Manage all aspects of Income Tax, including Computation, Advance Tax Calculation, Filing Returns, and responding to tax notices.
• Ensure compliance with payroll regulations and timely payment of salaries for all group companies.
• Handle the preparation and issuance of Form 16 for employees across the organization.
• Handle ROC compliance activities, including filing of annual returns and other statutory filings.
• Supervise accounts handling for branches and ensure compliance with taxation regulations.
• Stay updated with changes in taxation laws and regulations and implement necessary changes in the company's processes.
• Liaise with external tax consultants, auditors, and regulatory authorities as required.
• Assist in any other taxation-related activities or projects as assigned by the management.

Preferred candidate profile

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field. Additional professional certifications such as M.com, MBA, or equivalent will be preferred.

• Minimum of 10 years of experience in a similar taxation role, preferably in the Real Estate or Service industry.
• In-depth knowledge of Indian taxation laws, including TDS, GST, Income Tax, and ROC compliance.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively liaise with internal stakeholders and external parties.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks under tight deadlines.
• Proficiency in using accounting software Tally and MS Office applications.
• Male candidates are preferred for this position.
