About the Role:

We are seeking a talented and dynamic Video Producer/Anchor for our Kannada language platform. This role offers an exciting opportunity to be at the forefront of tech journalism, creating engaging video content for our Kannada audience. The ideal candidate will be a tech-savvy individual with a passion for creating high-quality videos, a strong on-screen presence, and a deep understanding of the Kannada market.

Responsibilities:

• Conceptualization & Production: Develop, plan, and execute engaging video content, including reviews, explainers, news updates, interviews, and feature stories, specifically tailored for the Gizbot Kannada audience.
• Anchoring/Hosting: Serve as the primary on-screen talent for Gizbot Kannada videos, delivering clear, concise, and engaging presentations.
• Scriptwriting & Storyboarding: Write compelling scripts and create storyboards that effectively communicate the intended message and visual narrative.
• Filming & Editing: Oversee the filming process, ensuring high-quality footage and audio. Should be able to guide and help the video editor.
• Content Optimization: Optimize video content for various platforms (YouTube, social media, etc.) to maximize reach and engagement.
• Market Research: Stay up-to-date with the latest tech trends and understand the preferences of the Kannada-speaking audience to create relevant and engaging content.
• Teamwork & Collaboration: Work closely with the editorial team, other video producers, and marketing teams to ensure cohesive content strategy and promotion.
• Community Engagement: Interact with the Gizbot Kannada audience through comments, social media, and other channels.
• Proactive & Independent: Be a self-starter, able to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Quality Control: Ensure all video content meets Gizbot's standards for quality, accuracy, and style.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Journalism, Mass Communication, Film Studies, or a related field. (Not mandatory)
• Proven experience (2+ years preferred) in video production, preferably in the tech or news industry.
• Excellent Kannada language skills (written and spoken).
• Strong on-screen presence and communication skills.
• Solid understanding of video production equipment (cameras, lighting, audio).
• Familiarity with social media platforms and video-sharing sites (YouTube, etc.).
• Passion for technology and a strong understanding of the consumer tech landscape.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines.
• Team player with a positive attitude.
