Radiology Specialists

As a Senior Specialist in Radiology, you will be responsible for operating radiologic equipment to capture diagnostic images and providing exceptional patient care. This role requires a high level of expertise and experience in radiologic procedures, patient communication, and equipment maintenance.Key Responsibilities: Diagnostic Imaging: Perform a wide range of radiologic procedures, including X-rays, computed tomography (CT) scans, magnetic resonance imaging (MRI), and other imaging modalities, to assist physicians in diagnosing and treating medical conditions.Patient Care: Ensure the safety, comfort, and well-being of patients undergoing radiologic procedures. Explain the process, position patients accurately, and address any concerns or questions.Quality Assurance: Monitor and maintain the quality of radiologic images, adjusting equipment settings as needed to achieve optimal results. Report any equipment malfunctions or issues to the appropriate authority.Radiation Safety: Adhere to strict radiation safety protocols and ensure that patients, staff, and yourself are protected from unnecessary radiation exposure. Monitor radiation doses to minimize risks.Documentation: Accurately record patient information, examination details, and imaging results in the electronic health record (EHR) or other record-keeping systems.Equipment Maintenance: Perform routine maintenance on radiologic equipment and ensure it is in good working order. Coordinate with the biomedical engineering department for repairs and calibrations.Continuing Education: Stay current with advancements in radiologic technology and best practices. Attend relevant training, seminars, and workshops to maintain licensure and certifications.Team Collaboration: Collaborate with radiologists, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to ensure that diagnostic imaging aligns with the patient's care plan and contributes to accurate diagnoses.Compliance: Follow all applicable laws, regulations, and guidelines governing radiologic procedures and patient confidentiality (e.g., HIPAA).
