Specialist – Reliability Engineer

Overall Responsibilities:

The Specialist, Reliability Engineering will be responsible for the delivery of quality Reliability engineering solutions, in a timely and cost-effective manner. They will contribute to the success of the broader work management initiative by applying their technical and practical expertise into the project for delivering high quality outputs and reporting on progress. They support maintaining accurate master data, preserving asset integrity implementation maintenance improvement initiatives, and ensures that maintenance strategies align with the business plan.

Technical Capabilities:

• Graduate/Diploma in Mechanical Engineering/Electrical engineering with relevant experience.
• Experience in mining and resources sector with enterprise asset management knowledge.
• A strong Maintenance Planning background would be advantageous.
• Understanding of Master Data Standards and Processes.
• Knowledge about different methods and types of maintenance practices.
• Awareness on multiple ERPs in the perspective of plant maintenance. Knowledge on SAP PM is essential.
• Maintain accurate master data to support the maintenance strategy.
• Develop and implement maintenance strategies to preserve asset integrity.
• Advanced Excel and Microsoft Office knowledge is desirable.
• Basic awareness on different CMMS applications available in the market.

Key Areas of Responsibility:

The Specialist, Asset Management will perform the following duties:

• Positively support the culture to ensure a safe, productive, quality, sustainable and disciplined approach to work.
• Facilitates workshops, focus group discussion and one-on-one sessions with key site stakeholders to gather information required to meet project deliverables.
• Engages key site stakeholders and support implementing reliability engineering solutions.
• Support in the quality deliverables & timely delivery of projects and reports
• Cultivate positive relationships through effective communication, feedback, and consultation.
• Deliver Asset Management projects in the following areas:
  • Maintenance Strategy Development.
  • RCM implementation in ERPs.
  • Operation readiness support.
  • Asset master development.
  • Asset Criticality
  • FMECA
• Support work management master data integrity, ensure data and strategies are maintained in accordance with business requirements, focusing on accuracy, quality and standardisation.
• Accept accountability for performance by ensuring quality of tasks, services, and advice.
• Support continuous improvement of systems and processes that are core to enabling effectiveness and efficiency.
• Review results and reports of reliability analyses carried out by other members of the team.
• Analyse field failure data to update FMECA and RAM to track reliability growth.
• Understand the maintenance strategy development process and its impact on equipment performance and review triggers.
• Evaluate that Operations input, precision maintenance requirements, spares, materials, and supporting documentation are considered in strategy development.
