- Experience with Contract Logistics and P&L is required.
- Our client, a global logistics company with reach all over the globe, is looking for a Country Manager to join their team.
- The position of Country Manager exists to direct and manage logistics services to our client's customers in a specific country.
- The position is responsible for developing multiyear country strategic plans in line with Business Unit strategies.
- The Country Manager manages and is the most senior in country customer contact across a diverse customer base from three separate Business Units; Resources & Industrial, FMCG and Retail.
- They deliver annual country plans for safety, financial, operations, new business, people, environment and corporate social responsibility.
Responsibilities:
- Safety: Implement safety policies, reduce LTIFR, identify and control hazards, and ensure compliance with reporting requirements.
- Grow Profitably: Manage P&L, monitor performance against budget, develop sector-specific strategies, optimize operations, and drive business growth.
- Deep Customer Relations: Build and maintain relationships with key customers, achieve business development goals, and ensure effective service delivery.
- Develop our People: Manage staff relationships, set and monitor development goals, apply people management policies, and foster a culture of diversity and performance.
- Environment: Seek opportunities for reducing carbon footprint and actively participate in energy-saving initiatives.
- Scale across Asia Pacific: Ensure consistent application of policies, collaborate for strategic planning, pursue new customer relationships, and support cross-regional resource development.
Education - Tertiary or Post Graduate qualification in an appropriate Business discipline.
Qualifications:
- Occupational Safety or Risk Management.
- Management or people leadership training.
Experience:
- Knowledge of local country laws / statutory requirements / Company Law and business regulations.
- Director level experience is ideal.
- Involvement with Asia base business activities for minimum (3+ years).
- Extensive Supply Chain operational experience in a medium to large private sector organization in managing people, financials, customers, and contracts.
- Extensive knowledge of up-to-date business management practice.
- Exceptional financial understanding and analysis skills.
- Exceptional ability to build relationships both internally and externally.
- Exceptional business development experience and record.
- Exceptional research and analytical skills and a capacity for sound judgment.
- A practiced strategic thinker.
- An creative mind, practiced in designing and selling solutions.
