Custom Clearance Executive

Role & responsibilities

• 1. Manage Import and Export Customs Clearance in India:
• • Ensure goods are cleared in compliance with Indian customs regulations.
• • Review customs documentation, including invoices, packing lists, bills of lading, certificates of origin, etc.
• 2. Coordinate Communication with Government Authorities:
• • Maintain close contact with Indian Customs, inspection agencies, and other relevant government departments.
• • Resolve any issues or challenges that arise during the customs clearance process in a timely manner.
• 3. Manage Customs Clearance Resources:
• • Maintain and expand relationships with customs brokers, freight companies, and clearing agents.
• 4. Monitor Regulations and Policies:
• • Stay updated on the latest customs regulations and policies in India and ensure the company remains compliant.
• 5. Optimize Processes:
• • Improve customs clearance efficiency, reduce clearance costs, and minimize risks of cargo delays.

Preferred candidate profile

• 1. Age: Not exceeding 35 years.
• 2. Work Experience:
• • At least 3 years of experience in customs clearance or related fields in India.
• • Familiarity with customs clearance procedures at major Indian ports (e.g., Mumbai, Chennai, Nhava Sheva, Kolkata) and airports.
• 3. Skills:
• • Deep understanding of Indian customs regulations, tax structures, and clearance policies.
• • Ability to quickly review and prepare complete customs documentation.
• • Strong problem-solving skills to efficiently handle customs inspections or delays.
• 4. Resources:
• • Possess a network of customs brokers or relevant resource partners.
• • Preference will be given to candidates with prior experience in well-known logistics companies or multinational trading firms.
