Cummins - Director - Manufacturing Engineering (18-23 yrs)

We are looking for a talented Manufacturing Engineering Director to join our team specializing in Manufacturing Engineering for our TCPL plants in Pune.

Short Description:

Directs the business planning, capital planning, and the strategic direction for the Manufacturing Engineering Function. Drives Manufacturing Engineering Excellence throughout the organization. Leads the integration of Manufacturing Engineering with other functions.

Description:

- Drives the strategy for the Manufacturing Engineering Function.

- Drives strategic and key relationships.

- Provides technical consultation, leadership, and advice to engineers, manufacturing personnel and other functions.

- Directs the development of Manufacturing Engineering and supply chain capability.

- Works with managers to drive personnel development, department performance, and meet their deliverables.

- Develops others by being a mentor and coach.

- Directs continuous improvement and ensures Functional Excellence is implemented within the Manufacturing Engineering Function.

- Directs the preparation and implementation of the annual operating plan.

- Ensures Cummins values and standards are utilized.

Must Haves:

- Should have at least 18 years of Manufacturing & Operations experience in the Automotive Industry.

- Should have set up at least 1 Manufacturing Plant during the career.

- Should have relevant experience in New Product development/introduction.

- Should have relevant experience in Budgeting and Execution of CapEx projects.

Qualifications:

- College, university, or degree in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Math) or related field, or equivalent experience required.

- This position may require licensing for compliance with export controls or sanctions regulations.

- Broad business leadership experience, including managerial, budgetary, and cross-functional experience (Should have worked with multiple departments), required.

- Will be responsible for managing multiple plants IOC and 6 other plants (4 plants in Phaltan + 3 in JSR).

- Needs good blend of strategic management 30% + 70% technical background.

- Should have set up at least 1 Manufacturing Plant during the career.

- Should have relevant experience in New Product development/introduction

- Should have relevant experience in Budgeting and Execution of CapEx projects.

- 18 years of Manufacturing & Operations experience in the Automotive Industry Hands on experience in working at the plant.
