Test Engineer - Performance Testing (5-8 yrs)

The Job/Position Summary :

- As a Test Engineer in a product-focused environment, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the quality and functionality of complex software applications.

- With a deep understanding of product goals and user needs, you will develop a product-centric approach to testing.

- You will leverage design thinking to create test strategies that prioritize usability, performance, and reliability, ensuring that the end product delivers maximum value to users.

Your responsibilities

- Develop and execute test cases with at least 95% coverage, aligned with product goals and feature requirements.

- Gain and maintain in-depth product knowledge to anticipate user needs and challenges.

- Track, log, and resolve defects, achieving a resolution rate of 90% within 2 weeks.

- Conduct API and performance testing on product components to ensure seamless functionality.

- Collaborate with cross-functional development teams to resolve critical issues within 48 hours of identification.

- Document test results and ensure 95% or higher test coverage for all new feature releases, aligning with the overall product vision.

- Basic knowledge on integrating tests into CI/CD pipelines, leading automation, and ensuring high-quality software through scalable testing solutions.

- Strong understanding of non-functional testing and its process.

Qualifications :

- Bachelor's degree in technology or a related field.

- 5 + years of experinence.

- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to articulate product insights clearly.

- Excellent problem-solving abilities, with a proactive, product-focused approach.

- Accountability and urgency in resolving issues with a customer-first mindset.

- Ability to prioritize and manage tasks effectively, especially in a dynamic, product-driven environment.

- A design thinking mindset, with the ability to empathize with users and think holistically about product improvement.

- Relevant certifications, such as ISTQB or Certified Automation Tester, will be a plus.
