Job Description
- Calculate commissions capitalization/amortization and booking of necessary entries in ERP
- Perform analysis on amortization to identify any potential adjustment or reason for MoM variance
- Assist in tracking of installment payments
- Prepare account reconciliations for balance sheet accounts to support recorded balances, track activity, and investigate differences, as needed
- Collaborates with other departments to ensure that business transactions are appropriately accounted for
- Participate in the monthly accounting close process and MoM variances based on trend
- Preparation of accrual journals and reversal entries
- Assist in statutory audit works of public listed companies
- Involved in finalization of statutory audit of financial statements
- Assist in development and documentation of processes and procedures, monitoring of internal controls and identification of opportunities for efficiencies
- Ensuring global consistency in accounting process and practice where possible
- Perform accounting processes in compliance with SOX
- Ad hoc projects, as deemed necessary
- Chartered Accountant / MBA with 7+ years of Accounting / General Ledger and Reporting experience
- Shift Timing : 02pm - 11pm
- Strong understanding of ERP (NetSuite experience is preferred)
- Experience with a Shared Resource Centre will be a big plus
- Critical thinking & ability to adapt to changes in the process month-over-month
- Self-driven, taking ownership of process
- Strong written & oral communication skills
- Excellent interpersonal and time management skills to meet time-sensitive deadlines
- Must be detail-oriented and able to perform multiple tasks at the same time
- Able to review and analyze a process, recommend and implement improvements
- Strong Microsoft Office skills, especially Excel
