Role & responsibilities

We are looking for a highly skilled and adaptable Senior Java Developer to work on both legacy and modern Java-based applications. This role requires deep expertise in Java versions 5 through the latest releases, as well as legacy frameworks such as older versions of Hibernate helping to modernize and migrate them to the latest versions.

You will work closely with Product Managers to ensure applications continue delivering business value while evolving within a modern DevOps AWS environment. Your strong technical background will allow you to contribute to discussions on architecture, tools, and best practices.

• Work on modernizing legacy Java applications (Java 5+) and frameworks like Hibernate.
• Design and develop robust enterprise applications within an AWS DevOps environment.
• Ensure high code quality through strong Object-Oriented Analysis and Design (OOAD) principles.
• Work with RESTful Web Services, Spring, Hibernate, and distributed systems.
• Apply agile methodologies while adapting to changing business priorities.

To Be Successful, You Will Have:

• 10+ years of experience in Java / J2EE development.
• Strong knowledge of Java versions 5 through the latest releases.
• Extensive experience with Spring, Hibernate (legacy & modern), and RESTful Web Services.
• Strong object-oriented design and architecture experience.
• Experience working with XML technologies (XQuery, XSLT, XSD, etc.).
• Familiarity with DevOps and AWS cloud environments.
• Strong problem-solving skills, adaptability, and ability to work in fast-changing environments.
• Excellent communication and leadership skills.

Preferred candidate profile

• Frontend experience with HTML & CSS.
