Job Description
We are seeking a highly skilled and hands-on senior application architect with extensive experience in AWS to lead the design, development, and optimization of scalable, high-performing applications. The ideal candidate will possess strong technical expertise in cloud-native application development, a proven ability to guide cross-functional teams, and a hands-on approach to implementing architectural solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Architecture Design: Design and implement robust, scalable, and secure application architectures using AWS services.
- Technical Leadership: Lead and mentor development teams in adopting best practices for cloud-based architectures.
- Hands-On Development: Write, review, and optimize code to ensure quality, maintainability, and adherence to architecture standards.
- Cloud Expertise: Leverage AWS services (e.g., EC2, Lambda, S3, RDS, DynamoDB, API Gateway, ECS/EKS) to build cost-efficient and scalable solutions.
- DevOps Integration: Collaborate with DevOps teams to automate CI/CD pipelines and ensure smooth deployment and monitoring processes.
- Performance Optimization: Monitor application performance, troubleshoot issues, and implement improvements.
- Stakeholder Collaboration: Work closely with business analysts, product owners, and other stakeholders to understand requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
- Security Compliance: Ensure adherence to security best practices and compliance standards in cloud-based architectures.
Required Skills and Experience :
- Technical Expertise:
- 14+ years of experience in application design and development, including 5+ years in cloud-native application architecture.
- Strong proficiency in AWS services (compute, storage, databases, networking, security, and serverless technologies).
- Experience with programming languages such as Python, Java, .NET, or Node.js.
- Solid understanding of microservices architecture, API design, and integration patterns.
- Tools and Frameworks:
- Proficiency in containerization and orchestration tools like Docker and Kubernetes.
- Experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools such as Terraform or AWS CloudFormation.
- Familiarity with DevOps tools like Jenkins, Git, and Ansible.
Additional Skills:
- Strong problem-solving skills with a hands-on approach.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Experience in Agile methodologies and project delivery.
Preferred Qualifications:
- AWS certifications (e.g., AWS Solutions Architect Professional, AWS Certified Developer, or similar).
- Knowledge of front-end frameworks and technologies is a plus.
- Experience with data engineering or AI/ML applications is a bonus.
