Programme Associate/Research Analyst- Just Transition

Collect, organize and summarize quantitative and qualitative evidence on the socio-economic impacts of the energy transition in the context of India.

Regularly track important developments (policy and technical) in the sector through rigorous literature review and share summaries with team members to promote mutual learning.

Other responsibilities

• Mentor research assistants and interns as and when required.
  
• Participate in relevant conferences, workshops, and training programs as necessary to communicate research findings and gain insights on new research in focus areas.
  
• Assist in building strategic partnerships and collaborations with peer organizations and government departments for ensuring continued learning, growth, and impact at scale.
  

• A postgraduate degree in economics, development economics, energy economics, political science, governance, public policy, sociology or related disciplines is a prerequisite. A Bachelor s degree in engineering combined with a postgraduate in any of the aforementioned disciplines is acceptable.
  

• Knowledge of India s governance structures, political economy of livelihood generation, community engagement.
  
• A good foundation in socio-economic concepts, macroeconomics, fiscal reviews and the coal economy in India and globally.
• Extensive experience in conducting field work for high quality qualitative and quantitative data collection and for stakeholder engagement.
  
• Prior experience in designing projects independently, managing teams and timely delivery of outputs.
  
• Proficiency in using advance statistical data tools like R, Python, STATA Proficiency in using MS Excel, Powerpoint, and Word. Strong writing, networking and communication skills. Technical know-how of power generating technologies would be a bonus.
