OpenShift Administrator - Cloud/On-Premises (10-14 yrs)

Key Responsibilities

1. OpenShift Administration :

- Install, configure, and maintain OpenShift clusters across various environments (on-premises/cloud).

- Manage upgrades, patches, and scaling of OpenShift environments.

2. Cluster Management :

- Monitor and optimize cluster health and performance.

- Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to cluster components and workloads.

3. Container Management :

- Manage containerized applications using OpenShift, Kubernetes, and Docker.

- Define and maintain application deployment configurations.

4. Automation and CI/CD :

- Implement and manage CI/CD pipelines using OpenShift tools.

- Automate routine tasks using Ansible, Terraform, or other infrastructure-as-code tools.

5. Security and Compliance :

- Implement security best practices for containers, clusters, and workloads.

- Perform vulnerability assessments and apply fixes as necessary.

6. Collaboration and Support :

- Collaborate with development and DevOps teams to define platform requirements.

- Provide technical support and guidance to resolve issues.

7. Documentation and Reporting :

- Maintain comprehensive documentation for OpenShift environments.

- Generate reports on resource usage, performance, and incidents.

Required Skills and Qualifications :

- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.

- Proven experience in managing OpenShift clusters.

- Proficiency in Kubernetes, Docker, and container orchestration.

- Strong knowledge of Linux system administration (RHEL or CentOS preferred).

- Experience with automation tools like Ansible, Terraform, or Helm.

- Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and hybrid environments.

- Understanding of networking concepts, including DNS, Load Balancing, and Firewalls.

- Hands-on experience with monitoring tools like Prometheus, Grafana, or similar.
