Data Migration Engineer - ETL Tools (10-15 yrs)

Job Description :

Key Responsibilities :

ETL Development and Implementation :

- Design, develop, and implement efficient ETL processes to extract, transform,. and load data from various source systems into the data warehouse.

- Ensure ETL processes are optimized for performance and scalability.

Data Integration :

- Integrate data from multiple sources, including databases, flat files, APIs, and. other data streams..

- Develop and maintain data integration workflows to ensure seamless data flow.

Data Quality and Validation :

- Implement data validation and cleansing procedures to ensure data accuracy and. integrity.

- Monitor data quality and implement measures to address data inconsistencies. and errors.

Database Management :

- Design and maintain data models and database schemas to support data. warehousing and reporting requirements..

- Optimize database performance through indexing, partitioning, and other techniques.

Collaboration and Communication :

- Work closely with business analysts, data architects, and other stakeholders to. understand data requirements and deliver solutions.

- Provide technical guidance and support to team members and stakeholders.

Documentation and Reporting :

- Document ETL processes, data mappings, and data flow diagrams.

- Generate reports and dashboards to provide insights into data operations and performance.

Performance Tuning :

- Continuously monitor and tune ETL processes to ensure optimal performance.

- Troubleshoot and resolve performance issues related to ETL jobs and database. queries.

Compliance and Security :

- Ensure ETL processes comply with data governance and security policies.

- Implement data masking and encryption techniques as needed to protect. sensitive information.

Qualifications & Education :

- Bachelors degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field.

- Masters degree preferred.

Experience :

- Minimum of 10 years of experience in ETL development and data integration.

- Proven experience with ETL tools (e.g., Informatica, Talend, SSIS, DataStage). and databases (e.g., SQL Server, Oracle, MySQL).

Technical Skills :

- Strong proficiency in SQL and database management.

- Experience with data modeling and schema design.

- Knowledge of scripting languages (e.g., Python, Perl) for data manipulation and. automation.

- Familiarity with big data technologies (e.g., Hadoop, Spark) is a plus.

Soft Skills :

- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.

- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Certifications : Relevant certifications (e.g., Informatica Certified Professional, Microsoft. Certified: Azure Data Engineer) are a plus
