Research Analyst

Role & responsibilities

• Perform company profile focused research on emerging technology and retail tech focused startups
• Research and write retail technology-related reports
• Undertake custom projects, including survey-based projects, for clients
• Analyze and present data in verbal and visual form
• Draft analyses, research reports, and presentations of various lengths
• Respond to ad hoc research requests
• Track, follow, and summarize industry and company news
• Collect data from various sources (including databases, public companies, and Internet searches)

Preferred candidate profile

1. Running Surveys: Candidates should be capable of designing, conducting, and managing surveys to gather relevant data, ensuring high-quality and actionable results.
2. Analyzing Vast Data Sets: They should be skilled in processing, interpreting, and drawing meaningful insights from large and complex data sets.
3. Writing: Candidates should be proficient in writing clear, concise, and well-structured reports or documents that effectively communicate research findings.
4. PowerPoint: Candidates should be proficient in creating professional and effective presentations using Microsoft PowerPoint, ensuring data insights are presented in a visually compelling way.
5. Servicing Client Reports: An immediate expectation will be for the candidate to efficiently prepare and deliver client reports. They must be able to quickly understand client needs and provide accurate, insightful reports that meet those requirements.

Experience:

• 2+ years of experience in buy- or sell-side research, investment banking, consulting, or relevant experience (experience in research is strongly preferred)

Education:

• Masters degree is a must (Business/Finance/Economics degrees would be a plus)
