Production Manager

Role & responsibilities:

We are looking for an experienced Production Manager to oversee the manufacturing of electrical panels. The ideal candidate will be responsible for production planning, quality control, workforce management, and ensuring timely delivery of products. This role requires strong technical knowledge of electrical panel assembly, adherence to safety standards, and process optimization.

Production Planning & Management:

• Develop and implement production schedules to meet delivery deadlines.
• Allocate resources, manpower, and machinery effectively for optimal output.
• Monitor and manage the entire panel manufacturing process from assembly to testing.
• Ensure efficient workflow, minimizing downtime and waste.

Quality Control & Compliance:

• Implement quality control measures to meet industry and customer standards.
• Conduct inspections and testing of electrical panels to ensure compliance with specifications.
• Address and resolve any defects or quality issues promptly.
• Ensure compliance with ISO, IEC, and other relevant industry standards.

Team Leadership & Coordination:

• Supervise and train production staff, ensuring adherence to safety and quality standards.
• Coordinate with design, procurement, and sales teams for smooth operations.
• Motivate and manage shop floor employees to maintain high productivity.

Process Improvement & Cost Efficiency:

• Identify opportunities for process optimization and cost reduction.
• Implement lean manufacturing and Six Sigma principles for efficiency.
• Maintain production records and analyze performance data to drive improvements.

Safety & Maintenance:

• Ensure compliance with workplace safety standards and regulations.
• Oversee the maintenance of machinery, tools, and equipment.
• Implement preventive maintenance schedules to avoid breakdowns.

Skills & Competencies:

• Strong knowledge of electrical panel assembly, wiring, and testing procedures.
• Familiarity with industry standards (IEC, IS, UL, etc.).
• Proficiency in ERP systems, AutoCAD (basic), and MS Office.
• Excellent leadership, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and work under pressure.

Preferred candidate profile

• Bachelor's degree/Diploma in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
• 5+ years of experience in production management within the electrical panel manufacturing industry.
• Experience in handling LT & HT panels, MCC, PCC, and control panels is preferred.
