Control Room Operator

As an Operator in security team, your role is crucial in maintaining the security of our organization at utmost priority. This reminder outlines your key responsibilities and duties to ensure clarity and focus on your day-to-day operations. Additionally, all reports and emails related to security incidents and procedures must be documented by you for your respective shifts.

Key Responsibilities:

Monitoring:

Continuously monitor security alerts, event logs, and security tools to detect potential security incidents or anomalies.

• Implement security and safety measures in accordance with policy and procedures.
• Analyse security events and incidents to understand their nature, scope, and potential impact on the organization's security posture.

Incident Management: (In case Specialist is not available)

• Prioritize and triage security incidents based on their severity.
• Initiate incident response procedures.
• Render first responder services during all emergencies and incidents, including but not limited to medical emergencies, fire emergencies, unauthorized entry, facility evacuations, and unlawful acts.

Documentation:

• Accurately document all relevant information related to security incidents, including actions taken, findings, and recommendations.
• Prepare written reports of incidents using various computer applications to document safety hazards and report incidents to relevant stakeholders.
• Vet and approve all reports and emails related to security incidents and procedures before dissemination.

Reporting:

• Prepare incident reports and security status updates.
• Conduct regular briefings and training for the vendor security staff on-site.

Physical Security:

• Conduct focused patrols by foot to identify hazards for the purpose of safeguarding people, property, and information within the assigned area of responsibility.
• Ensure that facilities and other occupied areas are properly secured.
• Implement security and safety measures in accordance with policy and procedures.
• Ensure Ground staff are turning up to duty with proper grooming.

Access Control:

• Responsible for end-to-end physical security access control management.
• Connect with relevant stakeholders to review active employee access control lists.
• Print and issue access cards and SEZ (Only for GGN) cards to employees, maintaining updated records.

Service Ticket Management:

• Handling of service ticket management and resolving issues within stipulated SLAs.

Data Management:

• Maintain all material, visitor, vendor, and related data accurately always.

CCTV:

• Monitoring CCTV
• Validating the recordings and making checklist.

Fire Announcement & Public Addressing :

• Alert all the staff on emergencies.
• Giving instructions for evacuations.
• Silencing the panel and investigating the alarm with engineering team.
