Job Description: Endoscopic Manager Technician

Position: Endoscopic Technician

Location: Hyderabad

Job Type: Full-Time

Job Summary: We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Endoscopic Manager/Nurse/Technician with a minimum of 8 years of experience to join our medical team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing, assisting, and performing various endoscopic procedures while ensuring the highest level of patient care and safety. This role requires expertise in the operation and maintenance of endoscopic equipment, assisting with diagnostic and therapeutic procedures, and providing leadership and mentorship to the endoscopic team.

Key Responsibilities:

Endoscopic Procedures:

• Assist in performing various endoscopic procedures, such as colonoscopies, gastroscopies, bronchoscopy, and other diagnostic and therapeutic interventions.
• Prepare and set up endoscopic equipment, ensuring it is sterile and functioning properly.
• Assist the physician during procedures by handling instruments, assisting with specimen collection, and monitoring patients.
• Provide post-procedure care, ensuring patients recover safely and providing instructions for aftercare.

Endoscopic Equipment Management:

• Operate, troubleshoot, and maintain endoscopic equipment, ensuring it is regularly cleaned, sterilized, and properly stored.
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations and proper handling of equipment to avoid damage or contamination.
• Keep track of equipment inventory and order supplies as needed.

Patient Care:

• Provide compassionate care to patients before, during, and after procedures, ensuring their comfort and safety.
• Monitor patients' vital signs and manage sedation during procedures, collaborating with physicians and anesthetists as necessary.
• Educate patients about the procedures, potential risks, and aftercare instructions.

Leadership and Team Management:

• Supervise, train, and mentor junior endoscopy staff, including nurses and technicians, ensuring high standards of practice are maintained.
• Assist in the development and implementation of protocols and procedures to improve workflow efficiency and patient safety.
• Oversee scheduling of endoscopic procedures and manage the daily activities of the endoscopy unit.
• Ensure adherence to infection control policies and best practices in endoscopy.

Quality Assurance and Compliance:

• Maintain and document accurate patient records, including procedural notes, reports, and any adverse events or complications.
• Ensure all endoscopic procedures comply with hospital and regulatory standards, including safety, cleanliness, and infection control protocols.
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives and audits related to endoscopy services.

Collaboration and Communication:

• Work closely with physicians, anesthesiologists, and other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless coordination of patient care.
• Communicate effectively with patients and their families, providing clear and concise information regarding procedures and expected outcomes.

Qualifications:

• Education:
• Certification in Endoscopy (e.g., CCI - Certified Endoscopy Technician, or equivalent)
• Experience:
• Minimum 8 years of experience in an endoscopy setting, including experience in performing and assisting with endoscopic procedures.
• At least 2 years in a Senior Role
• Skills:
• Expertise in the operation and maintenance of endoscopic equipment and instruments.
• In-depth knowledge of endoscopy procedures, patient safety protocols, and infection control standards.
• Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills.
• Ability to handle sensitive and stressful situations with compassion and professionalism.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team.
• Certifications:
• Current Nursing license (for Nurses) or relevant certification in endoscopy technology.
• Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification preferred.
