CT And MRI Technician

Role & responsibilities

The technologist performs CT/MRI scans procedure related techniques: producing image of the interpretation by or the request of the radiologist while exercising m professional judgment in performance of services

• Schedules patients for CT and MRI examinations. Evaluates the nature of critical and emergency procedures and arranges patient priorities to accommodate them. Maintains records of patients imaged and type of examinations performed including protocols used.
• Monitors the use of CT and MRI supplies and reorders as necessary. Keep abreast of new developments in the fields and recommends to the manager those, which would improve the operation of the service. Recognizes equipment malfunctions and describes it to appropriate service engineers.
• Performs and monitors safety checks on patients, employees and visitors to comply safety standards regarding ferrous objects and cardiac pacemakers prior to those persons entering the environment of the MRI magnetic field

Preferred candidate profile

A. Degree in science from a recognized university

B. Diploma in Radiology technology from recognized

Institution.
