Key Responsibilities:
Develop and implement the IT procurement strategy to meet business needs and support organizational growth.
Collaborate with IT, finance, and legal departments to identify procurement requirements, build RFPs, set priorities, and ensure compliance with policies and regulations.
Source and evaluate IT vendors for hardware, software, services, and cloud solutions.
Build and maintain strong relationships with key vendors and negotiate favorable terms, pricing, and service levels.
Monitor vendor performance and address issues related to quality, delivery, and service to ensure long-term supplier reliability.
Negotiate and manage IT contracts, including licensing agreements, maintenance contracts, and cloud service agreements.
Ensure compliance with legal, regulatory, and policy requirements in all contracts.
Continuously evaluate contract terms for cost savings and operational efficiency opportunities.
Optimize procurement costs through strategic sourcing and negotiation.
Work with finance to ensure IT Procurement is done within budget including maintaining goods inward (GIN) register.
Analyze spending data and make recommendations for cost savings, identifying areas to reduce expenses without compromising quality or service.
Identify and mitigate risks associated with IT procurement, including data security, regulatory compliance, and supplier dependencies.
Conduct regular assessments of suppliers financial and operational stability.
Ensure compliance with all company policies, ethical standards, and regulatory requirements related to procurement activities.
Continuously improve procurement processes to enhance efficiency, reduce cycle times, and improve transparency.
Implement best practices in IT procurement, such as e-procurement tools, contract lifecycle management, and supplier relationship management systems.
Provide training and guidance to internal stakeholders on procurement policies and processes.
Act as the main point of contact between IT and procurement functions to streamline communication and collaboration.
Handling IT Procurement for India and international locations like Nigeria, Liberia, Dubai, Angola etc.
This role will not be limited to IT procurement only but may also include industrial items.
Skills and Competencies:
Should have minimum of 10+ years of experience with exposure to both domestic and international procurement.
Hands on experience with releasing POs, Timely invoice processing and intl shipments
Strong negotiation and vendor management skills.
Proficiency in contract management and understanding of legal terms.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
Knowledge of procurement software and ERP systems.
Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate across departments.
Attention to detail and a commitment to high-quality work.
Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Analytical mindset with a strong focus on cost control and risk management.
Adaptability and openness to evolving technology trends.
