Director of Engineering - Payment System (18-25 yrs)

Job Description :

We are looking for a Director of Engineering with expertise in payment solutions, Microsoft Services (Azure, .NET, SQL Server, Dynamics 365), and Site Reliability Engineering (SRE).

The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in building and scaling enterprise payment systems, ensuring high availability, performance, and compliance with financial regulations.

This role requires technical leadership, strategic planning, and hands-on experience in cloud infrastructure, payment security, and reliability engineering.

Key Responsibilities :

- Lead engineering strategy and execution for payment processing systems, ensuring scalability, reliability, and security.

- Develop secure, high-performance payment platforms, integrating with Visa, Mastercard, RuPay, Amex, UPI, and other financial networks.

- Architect, develop, and manage Microsoft Azure-based solutions (VMs, AKS, AAD, Functions, DevOps, Storage, Networking).

- Implement payment gateways, tokenization, 3DS, ISO 8583, RTP, ACH, digital wallets, and QR-based payments.

- Drive SRE best practices, ensuring system reliability through SLIs, SLOs, SLAs, incident response, and observability.

- Optimize real-time transaction processing, reconciliation, settlements, and fraud prevention.

- Manage cloud migration and modernization of legacy payment platforms.

- Ensure compliance with PCI DSS, ISO 27001, GDPR, SOC 2, FedRAMP, FFIEC, HIPAA, and NACHA and other financial security regulations.

- Oversee CI/CD pipelines, automation, monitoring, and performance tuning using Azure DevOps and SRE principles.

- Lead and mentor engineering, DevOps, and reliability teams, fostering a culture of innovation and excellence.

Required Skills & Experience :

- Payment Solutions : Expertise in payment gateways, tokenization, ISO 8583, EMV, 3DS, UPI, RTP, ACH, chargebacks, and settlements.

- Microsoft Services & Cloud : Strong experience in Azure (AKS, AAD, DevOps, Functions), . NET, C#, SQL Server, and enterprise payment platforms.

- Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) : Experience with SLIs, SLOs, SLAs, incident management, monitoring tools (Azure Monitor, Prometheus, Grafana), and fault tolerance.

- Security & Compliance : Deep understanding of IAM, RBAC, fraud prevention, encryption, PCI DSS, SOC 2, FedRAMP, FFIEC, HIPAA, and NACHA guidelines
