Guidewire PolicyCenter Developer (8-12 yrs)

Role Overview :

As a Guidewire PC Developer, you will play a crucial role in customizing and configuring Guidewire InsuranceSuite applications, specifically PolicyCenter (PC). You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver robust and scalable insurance solutions, ensuring adherence to best practices and coding standards. This role requires a blend of technical expertise, problem-solving skills, and a strong understanding of the insurance domain.

Key Responsibilities :

- Develop, customize, and configure Guidewire PolicyCenter (PC) applications to meet business requirements.

- Utilize GOSU scripting for Guidewire application development.

- Implement and maintain Guidewire configurations, ensuring optimal performance and scalability.

- Develop and maintain RESTful APIs for seamless integration with other systems.

- Design and implement web APIs using REST/JSON.

- Participate in the full software development lifecycle, including requirements gathering, coding, testing, and deployment.

- Conduct thorough code reviews and ensure adherence to coding standards and best practices.

- Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to Guidewire applications.

- Collaborate with business analysts, quality assurance teams, and other developers to ensure successful project delivery.

- Gather and analyze requirements from stakeholders.

- Provide technical support and mentorship to junior developers as needed.

- Create and maintain comprehensive technical documentation for Guidewire solutions.

- Work closely with QA teams to ensure the quality and functionality of software deliverables.

- Work with relational databases and SQL, particularly MS SQL Server.

- End to end design and development of business database applications.

Required Skills and Experience :

- 8+ years of proven experience in Guidewire Application Development, with a focus on PolicyCenter (PC).

- 7+ years of Guidewire development experience.

- 7+ years of experience coding RESTful APIs.

- Proficiency in GOSU scripting.

- Experience with Java or Python programming languages.

- Strong experience with relational databases and SQL, particularly MS SQL Server.

- Expertise in the end-to-end design and development of business database applications.

- Experience creating modern web applications and designing Web APIs with REST/JSON.

- In-depth understanding of design thinking and customer-centric development.

- Experience with PMT tools.

- Guidewire Cloud Certification (ACE).

Qualifications :

- Bachelor's degree in Engineering (B.E/B.Tech), Bachelor of Computer Applications (BCA), Bachelor of Science (B.Sc), Master's degree in Engineering (M.E/M.Tech), Master of Computer Applications (MCA), or Master of Science (M.Sc).
