Role & responsibilities

JOB RESPONSIBILITY: -

a) Creating and presenting inspiring and functional workspace or office designs/layouts that enhance productivity and employee wellbeing.

b) Creating and presenting concepts design/layout for setting up testing facilities area planned for Automotive R&D.

c) Coordination with internal and external stakeholders, suppliers/Contractors to ensure successful implementation of design plans.

d) Project management activities: Creation of project timelines, budgeting & cost evaluation, Risk assessment, technical evaluation.

e) Ensuring proper documentation or reports as per standards.

COMPETENCY REQUIRMENTS: -

1. Technical Skills:

a. Layout/concept preparation of testing Facilities of R&D Testing Facilities layout. Industrial Building/similar areas.

b. Layout preparation of Office areas : Develop innovate and functional design concepts for workspace interiors, including space planning, furniture selection and materials.

c. Working knowledge of: Civil, Utilities, IT and safety domains and its inter connectivity.

d. Understanding of NBC rules, factory acts, safety, health & environmental aspects.

e. Understanding of latest designs in competitive market.

f. Proficiency in design software such as Auto Cad, Photoshop.

g. Knowledge on materials, finishes, furniture and lighting used in office interiors.

h. Knowledge on site survey covering key parameters (boundaries, topography, land levels, infrastructure, services etc.) for designing any floor plan.

Project Management Skills:

a. Know-how of various stages of projects from planning to handover of projects.

b. Lean and agile project management skills.

c. Coordination with stakeholders: including suppliers Civil, Electrical- Mechanical Utilities, IT, safety etc. Collaboration and coordination with inter and intra vertical departments to execute the tasks.

d. Project Scheduling, budgeting and Monitoring

e. Contract Understanding.

f. Cost evaluation, risk assessment and supplier tech evaluation.

Financial Acumen:

a. Information of indirect and direct taxation and its impact on sourcing cycle.

b. Awareness of the changing rules and its impact on work areas.

c. Knowledge of Procurement to Payment Cycle, including concepts of capitalization, FAR, etc.

d. Knowledge on carpet / built up/ super built up area per sqft/ sqm calculations and other civil related terminologies.

Analytical Aptitude:

a. Strong analytical skills to understand and interpret data for spend analysis and management reporting.

b. Expertise in data analysis and info-graphic visualization using advanced excel, Power Point etc.

c. Logical reasoning and problem-solving skills.

d. “Out of the box thinker”: Willingness for innovative ideas for managing project deliverables.
