Business Analysis (Telecom Messaging Solutions)

Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled Business Analyst with deep expertise in SMS Hub and/or SMS Firewall for telecom domain and a solid background in telecom network architecture, messaging flows, and industry protocols. Good to have experience using tools such as Visio, MS Word, PowerPoint, draw.io, and JIRA. In this role, you will collaborate with both business and technical teams, gather and analyze requirements, perform technical demonstrations, and create detailed documentation to ensure seamless execution of complex telecom messaging solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

• Requirements Gathering & Analysis:
• Collaborate with stakeholders to gather, document, and validate business and technical requirements for telecom messaging solutions (SMS Hub / SMS Firewall).
• Utilize tools like Visio and draw.io to create process flow diagrams, wireframes, and other visual representations of requirements and solutions.
• Messaging Architecture & Technical Expertise:
• Document and analyze telecom network architecture and messaging flows, including SMS Hub and firewall messaging solutions.
• Apply knowledge areas such as 3GPP, 5G SMSF, Diameter, SIP to ensure technical requirements are met and aligned with client needs.
• Cloud & Virtualization Technologies:
• Assist in the design and implementation of cloud-native solutions using AWS, GCP, Azure and Kubernetes.
• Assist with deployment design on virtualized environments / private cloud infra.
• Technical Pre-Sales & Presentations:
• Perform technical demonstrations and presentations using PowerPoint to effectively showcase the value and capabilities of the platform to clients.
• Collaborate with sales teams on pre-sales activities, answering technical queries and contributing to proposal creation.
• Documentation:
• Create detailed documentation ensuring all requirements and technical specifications are clearly communicated.
• Maintain organized and accurate scope documentation, ensuring all phases are documented and stakeholders are updated.
• Client Interaction & Communication:
• Communicate complex technical concepts clearly and confidently to clients and internal stakeholders, ensuring alignment.
• Participate in RFP processes and ensure compliance with client requirements.

Qualifications:

• Education:
• Bachelor’s degree in Telecommunications, Computer Science, Information Technology or a related field (or equivalent experience).
• Experience:
• 8-10 years of experience in telecom messaging solutions (SMS Hub / SMS Firewall). Direct experience as a Business Analyst would be a PLUS.
• Hands-on experience with telecom network architecture, specifications & protocols.
• Exposure towards technical pre-sales and working on large complex projects.
• Mandatory Skills:
• Strong understanding of telecom messaging technologies and network architecture.
• Knowledge of telecom industry standards such as 3GPP, 5G SMSF, Diameter, SIP.
• Proficient in requirements gathering, analysis, validation, and implementation.
• Exposure to Visio, MS Word, PowerPoint, draw.io, and JIRA for documentation and communication.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to create clear, concise documentation and presentations.
• Knowledge of cloud native platforms & virtualization.
• Good to have Skills:
• Exposure to programming languages like Java, C, GoLang and Python.
• Exposure of any cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure) and Kubernetes.
• Exposure & knowledge about SMSC & USSD platforms.
• Understanding of technical jargons and protocols such as SOAP, HTTP, API (GET & POST), HTML, JSON, and XML.
• Knowledge about design patterns.
• Problem solving & decision making skills.
• Certifications (Optional):

Relevant certifications in telecom technologies, cloud platforms are a plus Role & responsibilities
