Job Description

Role & responsibilities


The CompuCom SOC provides managed security services for Global clients and manages their security operations. The team is responsible for 24x7 telephone and remote support, specialized support for security compliance users, and works with the CompuCom clients on security issues. This role will act as a lead for the teams junior members and a center of knowledge, leveraging upon the years of experienced gained in this field deploying and supporting Advance Firewalls, IDS/IPS, End Point Management tools, Identity Awareness tools and SIEM tools.

Job Responsibilities:

Implementation, Administration and Troubleshooting on CrowdStrike, Symantec Endpoint Protection, Windows Defender, Carbon Black, McAfee.

  • Experience with large scale security solution deployment
  • Must have good hands-on experience with multiple Symantec security products, including Virus Scan Enterprise and Endpoint Security, Anti-Malware for Virtualized environments.
  • Experience in deploying and supporting Symantec Encryption, Antivirus, and HIPS solutions.
  • Should be able to handle escalation for all technical and process issues.
  • Ability to provide end to end support to enterprise counterparts, identifying root cause of complex enterprise initiatives.
  • Provide technical subject matter expertise wherever required.
  • Ensure proper communication and quick resolution for any Virus outbreak.
  • Plan and schedule Changes, Coordinating with different stakeholders.
  • Perform Threat analysis, identify top few incidents and work with respective teams/individual to minimize the incidents.
  • Troubleshooting & Vendor coordination
  • Prepare Weekly and monthly status reports.
  • Participate in business meetings with various stakeholders on a need basis.
  • Work on the service improvement programs.
  • Effort estimation/reviews on need basis for new projects.
  • Training of new team members.
  • Able to work on Knowledge acquisition and updates to related documents
  • Should able to provide BAU support within required SLAs.
  • Ability to work in a team and with Clients server team for any restoration etc.
  • Experience in Managing policies and software deployment.
  • Ability to provide end-to-end support to enterprise clients, identifying root cause of complex enterprise initiatives.
  • Plan, Upgrade and Deploy new version of AV tools
  • Service and Change management knowledge and understanding a must.
  • Provide oversight, coaching and guidance to other team members as it relates to the Security realm.
  • Willing to work in 24/7 shifts.

Preferred candidate profile


  • 5-9 years of experience on Crowd Strike, Symantec Endpoint Protection, CISCO Advance Malware Protection (AMP), Microsoft Defender ATP, Carbon Black and McAfee.
  • Experience in managing Customer Service and client expectations.
  • Ability to complete swift problem resolution, including troubleshooting.
  • Analytical approach for incident and problem solving with persistent performance.
  • Familiarity with existing knowledge base to scan for possible solutions to problems.
  • Ability to multi-task with different types of problems.
  • Good written & verbal communication.
  • Strong analytical skills balanced with effective communication and excellent customer service skills.
  • Knowledge of security tools like Firewalls, IPS/IDS, Web content filtering and content filtering solution, Reporting tools, Proxy, Antivirus and Identity Awareness.
  • Knowledge of compliance standards such as HIPAA, PCI, SOX, etc.
  • Knowledge of Google/MS office Suite products.
  • Ability to coordinate resources to resolve problems.
  • Appropriate Technical Support experience of SOC.
  • Skills to Diagnose and resolve issues and problems with the client’s information technology systems involving several processes.
  • Basic understanding of SIEM tools functionality and AV, IDS, IPS, VA, Web/Content Filtering, Data leakage and IA.
  • Good Understanding of basic Networking concepts TCP /IP concepts.
  • Investigating causes, analyzing and diagnosing the problem and repairing or providing detailed alternative solutions.
  • Basic understanding of Linux and Windows servers.
