C omponent Selection, Obsolescence Management

Provide component level expertise and consultation to Design Engineers

Component Ownership (Requirements review, Selection, Usage and Issue addressing) of parts being used.

Component Applications knowledge Create and manage roadmaps for Semiconductor parts and their applications for future technologies/products.

First hand analysis of Product teams specific requirements in selecting the right component for Customer RFQs. (Component System)

Conduct failure analysis/corrective action with suppliers. Analyze component failure trends.

Design, Conduct, and document Qualification Tests of new electronic components considered for new designs.

Manage / create standard component qualification processes where needed.

Facilitate communication and interactions between suppliers and design teams.

Assist in identifying and resolving manufacturing problems.

Support purchasing team during negotiations, part creation BOM health management

Minimum 2-3 years of experience as an a component engineer dealing with Semiconductor components or Applications engineer with a semiconductor industry.

Expert in finding alternates suitable for electrical designs

Knowledge on passive and active components

Knowledge with product families and technology roadmaps. Technical knowledge on manufacturing, quality and reliability issues related to semiconductor components.

Knowledge of IC design, fabrication process and construction techniques, application and critical specifications that affect performance and reliability.

Knowledge of ESD, MSL, RoHS, and REACH electronic component compliance

Experience in preparing customer and/or management level briefings
