Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced and highly skilled Node.js Tech Lead to join our dynamic team. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading the development team, architecting solutions, and ensuring the technical excellence of our applications. The Node.js Tech Lead will work closely with stakeholders, including product managers and designers, to deliver high-quality, scalable, and robust solutions.

Key Responsibilities

Leadership and Team Management:
- Lead and mentor a team of developers, providing guidance and fostering a collaborative environment.
- Conduct regular code reviews to ensure best practices are followed.
- Facilitate team meetings and stand-ups to track progress and address any blockers.
Technical Expertise:
- Architect, design, and develop high-performance, scalable, and secure server-side applications using Node.js.
- Ensure the quality and performance of the code, adhering to best practices and industry standards.
- Stay updated with the latest industry trends and technologies to ensure the team uses the most efficient and effective tools.
Project Management:
- Work closely with product managers to understand requirements and translate them into technical specifications.
- Estimate project timelines and ensure timely delivery of milestones.
- Identify and mitigate risks throughout the development lifecycle.
Collaboration and Communication:
- Collaborate with front-end developers, designers, and other stakeholders to ensure seamless integration of the application.
- Communicate effectively with non-technical stakeholders to explain technical concepts and decisions.
- Ensure proper documentation of the codebase, architecture, and processes.

Qualifications

Education:
- Bachelor s or Master s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
Experience:
- 10+ years of professional experience in software development, with a strong focus on Node.js.
- Proven experience in a leadership or senior development role.
- Experience with modern development practices including agile methodologies, continuous integration, and automated testing.
Technical Skills:
- Proficient in JavaScript and frameworks such as Express.js, Koa, or Hapi.
- Strong understanding of asynchronous programming and event-driven architecture.
- Experience with RESTful APIs, WebSockets, and microservices architecture.
- Familiarity with database technologies such as MongoDB, MySQL, or PostgreSQL.
- Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) and containerization (Docker, Kubernetes).
- Knowledge of version control systems (Git) and CI/CD pipelines.
Soft Skills:
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Attention to detail and a commitment to quality.
