Head Accountant

We are looking for an experienced Head Accountant to lead our accounting department. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in accounting principles, financial reporting, and team management. You will be responsible for overseeing all accounting functions, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards, and providing strategic financial insights to support our business objectives.

 

Key Responsibilities:

 

1. Oversee and manage all aspects of the accounting department, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and general ledger.
2. Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and reports.
3. Lead the annual budgeting process and financial forecasting.
4. Coordinate and manage external audits, ensuring timely and accurate responses to auditor requests.
5. Develop and implement internal controls to enhance financial integrity and efficiency.
6. Analyze financial data to provide strategic recommendations to senior management.
7. Monitor cash flow, investment strategies, and financial performance.
8. Stay updated on industry trends and regulatory changes affecting the accounting field.
9. Maintain and manage financial records for real estate properties, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements.
10. Assist with audits and ensure adherence to internal controls.
11. Stay current with real estate accounting standards and best practices.

 

Qualifications:

1. Bachelors degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field 5+ years of experience in accounting, with at least 2 years in a managerial role.
2. Strong knowledge of accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP, Oracle) and MS Office Suite.
3. Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
4. Strong leadership and team management abilities.
5. Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal.
6. Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
