Analyze, review, and as needed, reconstruct accounting records and detailed financial statements in order to create a comprehensive analysis.
Utilize accounting, auditing and investigative skills to conduct fraud investigations and provide litigation support services
Conduct data analysis and document review
Assist in preparation of findings and/or expert reports and results of investigations
Identify project issues and raise to management
Interact directly with attorneys and/or client personnel
Preferred candidate profile:
Bachelors degree in Accountancy, Finance, Business Administration, or related field
2+ years of experience working in an accounting or audit role, including knowledge of accounting standards and GAAP, financial reporting, data management & electronic discovery; Forensic accounting experience a plus
CPA preferred
Uses data analysis techniques for fraud detection and evidence gathering
Ability to extract useful information from large sets of unorganized or incomplete data
Understanding of accounting principles/methods and their application to accounting systems
Understanding and ability to evaluate adherence to generally accepted accounting principles
Excellent analytical and organizational skills
Flexibility of work schedule to meet client needs, including out of town travel, as required
Strong written and verbal communication and presentation skills
Ability to work as a part of a team in a deadline-driven environment. A natural self-starter and independent thinker
Action-oriented, decisive approach, with the willingness to take a hands-on role to ensure the deliverables are met on time with high quality
Microsoft Office, with a high proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, and Word
Strong attention to detail with the ability to work independently
