About the Role :

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Hadoop Developer to join our team. You will be responsible for the design, development, and implementation of robust and scalable Hadoop-based solutions. This role requires a strong foundation in Hadoop technologies, data engineering principles, and a passion for working with large datasets.

Key Responsibilities :

Hadoop Development & Implementation :

- Develop, design, and support Hadoop-based solutions, including data ingestion and ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) processes.

Data Loading :

- Efficiently load data from various sources (databases, files, APIs) into the Hadoop ecosystem.

- Utilize Spark and Scala to transform large datasets, perform complex data analysis, and extract meaningful insights.

Design & Development :

- Translate complex business requirements into detailed technical designs and implement them effectively.

HBase Management :

- Manage and deploy HBase for NoSQL database solutions within the Hadoop ecosystem.

Best Practices :

- Propose and implement best practices and standards for Hadoop/Omnia development and data management.

Teradata Knowledge (Good to Have) :

- Apply Teradata knowledge for better data management and integration.

Qualifications :

- 8+ years of experience in Hadoop development and implementation.

- Strong proficiency in Java, Scala, and Python.

- In-depth knowledge of Hadoop ecosystem components (HDFS, YARN, MapReduce, Hive, Pig, Spark).

- Experience with NoSQL databases, particularly HBase.

- Experience with data ingestion and ETL processes.

- Experience with data analysis and visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI).

- Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) is a plus.

- Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and debugging skills.

- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
